Limitations of BIRT
BIRT is built with rich internet applications in mind. For more complex reports where formatted printed output is a priority, BIRT reports have limitations.
Direct Print options of Out-of-Box Maximo has limitations for multi printer and printer tray configuration to support pre-printed job cards.
BIRT is inbuilt with Maximo and has limitations to extend reporting capabilities to any 3rd Party tools.
State of Art graphical report designs cannot be developed at ease in BIRT.
Some of the key Syclo activities which we are involved regularly are:

IBM has already withdrawn support for earlier versions of Maximo up to version 7.1. This means that fixes, patches, and telephone support are now no longer provided by IBM for Maximo V7.1.
All Maximo customers who are currently up-to-date on IBM Subscription and Support are entitled to upgrade to the latest release, V7.6, which includes many product enhancements and a vast range of add-ons and industry solutions, such as Maximo Scheduler, Health, Safety and Environment add ons, and new enhanced Industry Solutions.
